Privacy policy
This page describes the data we collect through the waitlist form and how we use it. The site uses no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies: the only audience measurement is anonymous and cookieless (see "Audience measurement").
Who's behind this site
First Waters (first-waters.com) collects and looks after your data. A question or a request? Write to[email protected] and we'll get back to you. We'll share our postal address on request.
Data we collect
When you join the waitlist, we record:
- your email address;
- the destination you are interested in (Sichuan, Hainan, or fishing and culture);
- the budget you indicate;
- your optional message;
- the page language, and the date and time of submission;
- the country estimated from your IP address and the referring page, sent automatically by our host. We do not store your IP address.
Purpose and legal basis
This data is used only to send you the expedition dossier and to manage the waitlist. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights").
Hosting and recipients
Data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers KV). A Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam check runs on form submission. We do not sell or rent your data, and we share it with no third party for commercial purposes.
Audience measurement
To know how many people visit the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. This measurement is cookieless and collects no personal data: it counts page views, traffic sources and countries, in aggregate, without tracking visitors individually or across sites. Because it sets no cookie and processes no personal data, it does not require a consent banner.
Retention
Your data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. You may request deletion before that term.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, write to[email protected]. If you are in the EU, you may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
